“You don’t need to throw away all your SmartDataObjects based business logic when moving towards the Advanced GUI for OpenEdge 10.2A. Understand how to leverage existing SmartDataObjects (static or dynamic) in the new .NET based user interface. Use DataBinding to browse your SDO result set including batching, filtering and sorting. Understand how to update your data within the SmartDataObject from .NET Windows Forms Controls. The session will include a discussion about the presenter’s experience when using the Advanced GUI to build an ADM2 based rendering engine for the Progress Dynamics framework. Sample code of the Infragistics Grid bound to a SmartDataObject will be made available on PSDN.“
